ACCEPTABLE DATA USAGE & COMPLIANCE POLICY
1. INTRODUCTION
This Acceptable Data Usage & Compliance Policy ("Policy") governs the use of the Insight API ("API") provided by Lineup Technologies Inc. ("Company," "we," "our," or "us"). By accessing or using the API, you ("User") agree to comply with this Policy, as well as any other applicable Terms of Service, Privacy Policies, and contractual agreements in place.
Violation of this Policy may result in suspension or termination of API access, legal action, or other remedies as deemed necessary by Lineup Technologies Inc.
2. PERMITTED USE OF API DATA
Users may only access and use API data in strict compliance with this Policy. Permitted uses include:
Real-Time Use Only: Data must be retrieved in real-time and displayed dynamically within the User’s application or platform.
Temporary Caching: API responses may be temporarily cached for up to 24 hours for performance optimization, subject to caching restrictions below.
Event & Artist Discovery: Users may utilize API data solely for event recommendations, artist discovery, and venue optimization.
Internal Business Use: Data may be processed internally for legitimate business purposes but may not be stored, archived, or shared externally beyond real-time use.
Any other use requires prior written consent from Lineup Technologies Inc.
3. DATA STORAGE & CACHING POLICY
3.1 Prohibited Data Storage
Users must not:
Store, archive, or retain API data beyond the permitted caching period.
Use API data to create, enhance, or supplement a proprietary database.
Store derived insights or metadata based on API responses.
Sell, resell, sublicense, or otherwise transfer API data to third parties.
3.2 Caching Policy
API data may be cached for up to 24 hours solely for performance optimization.
Cached data must be purged and refreshed after expiration to ensure accuracy.
Cached data must not be modified, manipulated, or misrepresented.
Users must not attempt to circumvent API request limits by excessive caching.
Failure to comply with these storage and caching policies may result in immediate suspension of API access.

4. PROHIBITED USES
The following actions are strictly prohibited:
Unauthorized Storage: Storing API data beyond the permitted caching period.
Automated Scraping: Using bots, scrapers, or other automated tools to extract API data in bulk.
Security Violations: Attempting to bypass authentication mechanisms, interfere with API operations, or exploit vulnerabilities.
Derivative Work Creation: Using API data to develop competing services, algorithms, or databases.
Illegal, Fraudulent, or Harmful Activities: Utilizing API data for discrimination, harassment, misinformation, fraud, or unlawful conduct.
Resale & Redistribution: Selling, sublicensing, leasing, or transferring API data to any third party without explicit authorization.
Attribution Omission: Displaying API-generated insights without proper attribution to Insight API by Lineup Technologies Inc.
Violations will result in API suspension, legal action, and potential claims for damages.
5. ATTRIBUTION & COMPLIANCE
Users must credit Insight API by Lineup Technologies Inc. when displaying API-derived insights:
Visible Attribution: All public-facing uses of API data must include "Powered by Insight API by Lineup Technologies Inc." or "Data provided by Insight API."
Hyperlinking: Where possible, attribution must link to https://lineupiq.io.
Branding Compliance: Any use of the Insight API logo must adhere to our Branding Guidelines (https://lineupiq.io/branding).
Failure to comply may result in API access termination.
6. RATE LIMITS & FAIR USAGE
To ensure system stability, the following rate limits apply:
Each API key is assigned a maximum request quota per minute/hour.
Excessive usage beyond defined limits may result in rate limiting or access suspension.
Users requiring additional capacity may request an Enterprise API License by contacting support@lineupiq.io.
7. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES
The API is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to:
Accuracy & Availability: Lineup Technologies Inc. does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or uptime of the API.
Fitness for Purpose: We make no warranties regarding the suitability of the API for any specific use case.
Non-Infringement: We do not warrant that use of the API will not violate third-party rights.
Users access the API at their own risk.
8. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lineup Technologies Inc. shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:
Loss of Revenue or Profits resulting from API use or restrictions.
Data Corruption or Loss due to service interruptions.
Unauthorized Access or Data Breach resulting from user-side vulnerabilities.
Total liability under this agreement shall not exceed the fees paid (if any) for API access in the three months preceding a claim.
9. INDEMNIFICATION
Users agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Lineup Technologies Inc., its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:
Unauthorized API use or misuse.
Violation of this Policy or applicable laws.
Third-party claims related to API-derived content.
10. ENFORCEMENT & TERMINATION
Lineup Technologies Inc. reserves the right to:
Audit API usage for compliance at any time.
Revoke API access for violations, without prior notice.
Pursue legal remedies against unauthorized use or data exploitation.
11. GOVERNING LAW & JURISDICTION
